Finding and Booking Trucks
Food Truck Finder is a free directory of food trucks, coffee carts, dessert trailers and spit braai caterers in South Africa. We research and add the listings ourselves, sorted by town, cuisine and specialty, and you contact the trucks directly.
Browse by town or province, filter by cuisine, specialty or dietary need such as halaal or vegan, or use the search box at the top of every page to search by town, food or truck name.
No. Trucks move between markets and events, so check the truck's page for where it usually trades, then its social media or a quick call before you go.
Yes. Many trucks are available for hire for weddings, birthdays, work functions and other private events. Look for trucks marked "Available for Hire" and send a booking request from the truck's page. It opens WhatsApp or emails the truck. Food Truck Finder doesn't confirm bookings or take payment, so you agree the menu, price and deposit with the truck.
No. We don't inspect trucks or check certificates, and the site has no reviews or ratings. If something matters to you, such as halaal certification, insurance or photos of past events, ask the truck before you book.
Yes. Browsing the directory and sending booking requests costs nothing. You pay the truck directly for whatever you book with them.
For Truck Owners
Leave your details on the List Your Truck page. It takes a minute. We'll contact you and set up your listing with your photos, menu and contact details. It's free.
Nothing. Listing is free and we don't take a cut of bookings. Your free listing includes:
- A page for your truck with photos, menu and contact details
- A place on your town and cuisine pages, and on the for-hire pages if you cater events
- Booking requests sent to your WhatsApp or email
- Changes made for you: just tell us what to update
Use the List Your Truck page and choose "My truck is already listed", or tap "Update this listing" on your truck's page. Tell us what to change and we'll update it.
Yes. Send one request per truck on the List Your Truck page, or mention all of them in the notes.
Customers send their event details from your page. If you have WhatsApp, the request arrives there; if we have your email, it's emailed to you too. You reply to the customer directly. We don't manage the booking or follow up.
Yes. Send us the new menu or photos through the List Your Truck page and we'll update your listing.
Help
To book or ask about a food truck, contact the truck directly from its page. We don't have a phone line. For questions about the website, send us a message on the Contact Us page, or use Report an Issue if something on the site isn't working.
Use the Report an Issue page and choose "Content Error" as the category. Tell us which truck and what is wrong, and we'll check it and fix the listing.
