Jaffels with moerkoffie, lamb rolls, pizza cones, Japanese crepes and spit braais: find Bloemfontein's food trucks.
Bloemfontein's food trucks follow the Free State calendar rather than a fixed food truck park. Saturdays mean the Langenhoven Mark in Langenhovenpark, a few Sundays and Friday evenings a year bring the Botanical Garden Market, and the big crowds come with rugby and festivals at Toyota Stadium and the Vrystaat Kunstefees at the university in July.
The food has a strong Free State accent. Die Ou Plaashuis makes jaffels and moerkoffie, and Lamb Rolls & Cheese Griller Rolls & Heitooo Potatooo Spirals sells lamb rolls and spiral potatoes at festivals. Rolling Cones bakes pizza into a cone, Ann's Cafe sells ice cream and Japanese crepes, and C&M Spitbraai cooks for groups of about 50 to 120.
Most trade in public. C&M Spitbraai and Ann's Cafe take private bookings, and Rolling Cones takes orders for parties.
Die Ou Plaashuis is a trailer that toasts jaffels with mince, bacon and egg, cheese, or ham, cheese and tomato, with corndogs and potato wedges on the side. The moerkoffie is brewed the old way, in a kettle over gas burners with a muslin cloth. In 2026 it traded on Saturdays at the Langenhoven Mark and at the Vrystaat Kunstefees, and it travels to festivals, markets and shows around the country. Its posts are in Afrikaans.

Lamb Rolls & Cheese Griller Rolls & Heitooo Potatooo Spirals is built for big crowds at festivals and rugby matches in the Free State and in Kimberley. Alongside the lamb rolls and cheese griller rolls, it fries potato spirals, French fries, jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks and jalapeno rissoles, and sells bubble waffles, boba drinks, slushies, milkshakes and coffee. At the Bloem Gin Festival at Toyota Stadium on 19 September 2026 it added a beef and greens pita.
Rolling Cones sells pizza baked into a handheld cone, which is easier to eat while walking a market than a slice. It traded at the Botanical Garden Market on 31 May 2026, went to the Hopetown Skou in the Northern Cape in February 2026, and was at the Bloemfontein SPCA LiggieFees in December 2025. In September 2026 it was promoting orders for parties and home delivery.
Ann's Cafe is a dessert truck selling ice cream and Japanese crepes at markets in and around the city. It traded at the Botanical Garden Market on Friday 7 November 2025 and at the market at the Willem Postma Carols with the Stars. It can be hired for events, and its Facebook page says where it will be standing next.
C&M Spitbraai caters spit braais for roughly 50 to 120 people. Its own posts mention a 55-person school function at Onze Rust primary school and a 30th birthday for 45 guests, which gives a feel for the size of job it takes on. Bookings are arranged through its Facebook page or Request Booking on its listing.

Bloemfontein's trucks trade at a few recurring markets and at the city's big annual events. Each place below has a 2026 date from the organiser or a listed truck.
A farm and craft market (the Boeremark) every Saturday at 22 Elias Motsoaledi Street, which also ran an autumn night market on Friday 10 April 2026 from 5pm. Die Ou Plaashuis trades there.
A market at the Free State National Botanical Garden on Dewetsdorp Road, run by Bloemfontein Pop-Up Markets a few times a year. 2026 dates included Sunday 31 May and Sunday 9 August, with a Friday evening market listed for 30 October from 4pm to 10pm; Rolling Cones and Ann's Cafe have traded there.
The Free State arts festival, held on the UFS Bloemfontein campus from 7 to 11 July 2026, with an art market of more than 300 stalls. Die Ou Plaashuis traded there in 2026.
A one-day gin and music festival at Toyota Stadium, held on Saturday 19 September 2026, where Lamb Rolls & Cheese Griller Rolls & Heitooo Potatooo Spirals traded.
For a spit braai, C&M Spitbraai works for roughly 50 to 120 guests, which suits school functions and milestone birthdays. If your group is smaller or bigger, ask before you plan around it.
Bloemfontein winters are cold, and evening markets here run into the dark. For a winter function, moerkoffie, jaffels and hot rolls make more sense than ice cream. Expect the festival trucks to be busy in early July for the Vrystaat Kunstefees and on big rugby and festival days at Toyota Stadium.
When you know your date and numbers, open the truck's page and tap Request Booking. It sends the details straight to the truck by WhatsApp or email, and the truck quotes you itself; Food Truck Finder doesn't handle bookings or payments.
The Langenhoven Mark in Langenhovenpark runs every Saturday, and Die Ou Plaashuis sells jaffels and moerkoffie there.
It runs a few times a year at the Free State National Botanical Garden. 2026 dates included 31 May and 9 August, and a Friday evening market was listed for 30 October.
C&M Spitbraai caters for roughly 50 to 120 people and has cooked for school functions and birthdays. Send your date and venue through Request Booking on its page.
