Ardi's Food Truck

Ardi's runs two food trucks and a coffee truck in Cape Town, styled on 70s surf movies with neon lights and surfboards on the roof. They are hired for festivals, corporate functions and private events. Food is made in-house, from the mayo to the falafel, and cooked on site. Choices include wagyu smash burgers, shawarma and falafel, with fresh churros on the side. The trucks run on solar power and gas, and packaging is biodegradable. Menus are tailored per event.

Bite Me Catering

Bite Me Catering runs the Bite Me Food Truck, serving Lebanese-style shawarmas with a South African flair around Port Elizabeth. The truck trades at the Crossways Village Market, the South African Air Force Museum market, school events, festivals and runs, and also serves breakfast and lunch at events. Shawarma Express serves Middle Eastern street food, mainly shawarma and falafel in pita, from a red flame-wrapped food truck based in Table View, Cape Town. Customers choose their own additions from a selection of salads, pickles and sauces, with falafel as the vegetarian option. The truck is part of the Cape Food Truck Collective, which books it for corporate functions, school sports days, weddings, festivals and film shoots across the Western Cape. The business says it caters for halaal customers.

Taste of the Med

Taste of the Med sells homemade Mediterranean food in Plettenberg Bay, trading at the Old Nick midweek market and the Harkerville Saturday market, and at events such as the Robberg Equestrian Park Outdoor Grand Prix. The range includes mezze finger foods like spanakopita, kotopita and feta parcels, Greek desserts such as baklava and portokolapita orange cake, and Greek yoghurt with homemade granola.
