Boulevard 82 Food Truck & Street Food
Boulevard 82 is a Cape Town food truck based in Kenilworth that caters weddings, birthday parties and other private events from a yellow and white converted camper. The team serves canapes, grazing tables with cheeses, cured meats, fruit and breads, plated mains, and burgers with fries, with menus put together for each event. Weddings make up much of their work. Calories Food Truck is a locally owned food truck that has served Stanford since 2020. It is fully off-grid and sells street-food style meals such as burgers, chicken wraps, crumbed chicken strips and chips, toasties and deep-fried hotdogs, with a kids meal as well. You will find it at local markets and community events around Stanford. It can also be booked for weddings, corporate functions and private parties, with the menu tailored to the occasion.
Crumbs & Cream
Crumbs & Cream makes ice-cream sandwiches from freshly baked cookies and gelato made in store, with vegan cookie and sorbet options. Customers pick two cookies, a gelato flavour and toppings, and the menu also has gelato scoops and tubs, milkshakes, ice-cream cakes, crepes and coffee. In Cape Town they trade from shops in Sea Point, Woodstock and the Watershed at the V&A Waterfront, with further stores in Stellenbosch and Illovo, Johannesburg. For corporate and private events they hire out an ice cream cart that serves made-to-order sandwiches, cones and cups, and they also supply ready-made ice-cream sandwiches.
Didi's Mexican
Didi's Mexican started out as Didi's Bitchin Burritos, a Mexican food truck in Cape Town, and now runs a retro VW Kombi truck called Rosie alongside takeaway stores in Plumstead, Newlands and the Foreshore. The truck is booked for private functions only, such as birthday parties, weddings, corporate events and film shoots, with custom menus and pinatas on request. Food includes burritos, street-style tacos, toasted quesadillas, baked enchiladas, nachos, burrito bowls and churros, with chicken, beef, hake and vegetarian or vegan fillings. Their catering arm also offers canapes, taco grazing tables and dessert bars.
Fork It Foodtruck
Fork It is a branded food trailer that serves events, corporate lunches and parties around Cape Town. The menu is built around crispy chicken burgers, cheesy beef burgers, loaded nachos, hot dogs and mac 'n' cheese. It is run by the Holy Macaroni team, and you book it through the quote request form on their website.

The Western Cape has more food trucks listed than any other province, and most of them are in Cape Town. Outside the city the trucks sit in small clusters: regular pitches in the Helderberg, spit braai caterers and coffee carts in the Winelands, market traders on the Garden Route, and roadside trailers in West Coast and Overberg towns.
Burgers are the most common offer across the province, followed by spit braai catering, braai and smokehouse food, sandwiches, coffee and hot dogs. Many Cape Town trucks state that their food is halaal. Further out the menus get more local: Greek mezze in Plett, German currywurst in Sedgefield, fish and chips at Beacon Island and fried chicken burgers on Velddrif's town square.

Food trucks in Cape Town and the Peninsula
Cape Town has the longest list in the province: burger and smash burger trucks, halaal grills, wood-fired pizza, Mexican, Indonesian and Filipino food, waffles, coffee and a long list of spit braai caterers. Some keep a weekly spot. Love Pizza's trailer stands next to the Friendly supermarket in Sun Valley, Noordhoek, open Tuesday to Sunday, and Bigga D's Food Truck sells its birria at the Oranjezicht City Farm Market on weekends. Food trucks in Somerset West and the Helderberg
Several Helderberg trucks keep regular hours. Ishushu Woodfired Pizza bakes thin-base pizza at Steynsrust Bridge on Old Stellenbosch Road, and Infinity Coffee serves hikers at the Helderberg Nature Reserve from 06:30. In Strand, SIXWeeks Mobile Barista runs a coffee van on solar power with gas back-up, which suits trail runs and venues without power.
Food trucks in Paarl, Stellenbosch and the Winelands
Winelands trucks mostly work weddings and functions. Paarl's listings are spit braai caterers such as Red Bird Catering & Spit Braai, which arrives three to four hours before serving, and coffee carts like Feit Coffee Paarl. In Stellenbosch, Die Wors-Rol is a chef-run boerewors roll trailer that also does open-fire catering. To eat rather than hire, the Blaauwklippen Family Market and the Boschendal Friday Night Market are the regular stops.
Food trucks on the Garden Route
Garden Route trucks are mostly market traders. Wunder-Bar grills bratwurst and a currywurst with its own curry sauce at Sedgefield's Mosaic Market on Saturday mornings. Spencer's Sushi is at Knysna's Friday Market every week, and Taste of the Med brings Greek mezze and baklava to the Old Nick and Harkerville markets near Plett. West Coast trucks keep it simple. The Smash Burger Truck sets up around Langebaan, including at Kraalbaai, with smash burgers, toasted sandwiches, samoosas and milkshakes, and its menu board carries a halaal logo. In Velddrif, Anna's Take-Aways parks on Die Plein across from the municipality from Tuesday to Saturday, and Tumelo Mobile Coffee Cafe in Darling takes its coffee trailer to shows such as the Hopefield Fynbosskou.
Food trucks in Hermanus and the Overberg
The Grub Hub trailer works the Hermanus and Sandbaai area with lamb shawarmas, beef burgers and wors rolls. Calories Food Truck has served Stanford since 2020, runs fully off-grid, and sells burgers, chicken wraps, crumbed chicken strips and deep-fried hot dogs at local markets and community events. Both take function bookings.
Spit braai caterers in the Western Cape
Spit braai catering is one of the biggest categories in the province, and the caterers spread well beyond Cape Town. Spit-Braai King in Somerset West roasts whole lamb on gas spits in about two hours for groups of 30 and up. Outeniqua Spitbraai in George does lamb and chicken with salads and harvest-style platters, and Langebaan Spitbraai, Catering & Decor adds décor for West Coast weddings and farm functions.
Coffee trucks and carts in the Western Cape
Coffee carts are a big part of the hire trade. Arabica Coffee Co. has run espresso bars at weddings, conferences and festivals across the province since 2017. Magnificent Barista Boys hires out carts, barista bars and matcha bars in Cape Town and the Winelands. On the Garden Route, CoffeeTown Knysna roasts its own beans and takes a trailer to events.

Burgers top the menus across the province. The Smash Box Food Truck serves halaal smash burgers from a trailer at Access Park in Kenilworth, Joe & Co. grills smashburgers over charcoal on weekends, and Onrustige Plekkie at Hungry Town in Atlantis tops a smash burger with a crumbed macaroni slab.

On the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, every Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00, weather permitting. Chilangos from Somerset West said in January 2026 that it trades there on weekends.
Boschendal Friday Night Market
At Boschendal near Franschhoek, every Friday, 17:00 to 21:00, between 4 September 2026 and 30 April 2027, with tickets on Quicket. The Wicked Waffle and Bali Food Truck list it as a Friday spot.
Wednesday Market at Old Nick, Plettenberg Bay

Harkerville Saturday Market

Hiring a food truck in the Western Cape
Outside Cape Town each town has only a few listings, so book early for the busy stretches: Winelands weddings through the warmer months, school sports days during term, and year-end functions in November and December.
Ask about distance and set-up before you settle on a truck. Some caterers quote delivery by distance; Mr Spitbraai, for example, delivers free within 25 km of Somerset West. Spit braai caterers arrive hours before serving (the Paarl caterers say three to four), so the venue must allow cooking on site. Check whether the truck needs power, water or a level spot.
